Vintage Gray Rocks Inn St Jovite Quebec Ski Resort Enamel Cufflinks Snow Eagle
N/A
Vintage souvenir cufflinks from Gray Rocks Inn, St. Jovite, Quebec, one of Canada's most storied ski resorts. Shield-shaped faces in rich orange/red guilloché enamel featuring the resort's Snow Eagle emblem (an eagle perched on crossed skis) with Gray Rocks Inn / St. Jovite Que lettering. Gold tone bullet-back toggle closures. Gray Rocks opened in 1906 in the Laurentians and became a pioneer of North American ski culture. Its famous Snow Eagle Ski School introduced thousands to the sport, and the resort's ski-week packages were legendary among East Coast and Canadian skiers before it closed in 2009. Memorabilia from the resort now carries real nostalgia value for Laurentians and Mont-Tremblant area skiers. Good vintage condition with attractive enamel color and light age wear; toggles work smoothly. Likely 1950s–60s.
