Iron Tsuba with a unique shape, single pine tree motif, unsigned, Higo school, two kozuka openings, openwork, round mimi. This is a thick iron tsuba with a thickness of approximately 7.6mm.
There appear to be similar works by Hayashi, Kanki, and Mannichibo. It is speculated to be a later Hayashi piece. This is a work of art from the Higo school, featuring only iron and openwork.
There are age-related dirt and rust, but the condition is good. This is a masterpiece of Higo tsuba. Please check the images.
