This antique item is an Early American Pressed Glass (EAPG) footed open jam/jelly compote manufactured by the McKee Glass Company.  Design & Historical Details • Pattern: It features the highly intricate Martec design, which was introduced by McKee in 1905. This pattern is part of their premium Pres Cut line, intentionally crafted with stars, fans, arches, and a sharp sawtooth upper rim to brilliantly replicate expensive hand-cut American Brilliant crystal. • Era: Originating from the Edwardian/EAPG era, these original clear glass pieces were heavily produced between 1905 and 1915. • Base Shape: It sits gracefully on an elegant, low six-scalloped petal footed base.
